Nelson Surveying, Inc, (NSI) located in Ashland, Wisconsin has been serving the Northern Wisconsin and Michigan area since 1954. NSI's courteous staff has the knowledge, experience, and equipment to ensure timely and accurate completion of your project.
NSI is experienced in large area surveys including: transmission line surveys, county wide GPS surveys, township GPS projects and multi-section control surveys, subdivisions, and wetland delineation. NSI also offers limited area surveys including: topographic and hydrographic surveys, boundary surveys, preliminary design surveys, construction surveys, lot surveys, construction staking, boundary and easement descriptions, preliminary and final plats, and land use planning.
NSI offers large format copying and scanning for documents and maps as large as 36" wide. |

OUR EQUIPMENT
NSI uses state-of-the-art surveying equipment to ensure accurate and reliable surveys. Equipment includes: robotic total stations and Lieca RTK GPS systems. Our equipment allows rapid deployment and timely surveys.
Along with cutting edge hardware, we also utilize the latest in CAD and mapping software. Autocad and Pacsoft are a few of the programs that allow us to streamline the surveying process and provide detailed printed layouts and topographical maps. |

Larry is owner and president of Nelson Surveying, Inc. and Heart of the North Surveys of Hayward, Inc.
Larry has been with NSI since 1973, and is involved with all aspects of surveying and business administration. Larry has completed training in the use of Lieca GPS hardware and software. Larry serves as the technical advisor for the Ashland County GPS program. Larry has been involved with the projects listed on our projects page, along with numerous other projects. |
